Project Idea -- "Easter Eggs bring Spring Showers" Necklace

This necklace is quite similar to the Mother of Pearl Ring Necklace, but has an Easter theme with Easter "Egg" rings and Spring Shower raindrops. Like the look but not the Easter theme? Make the necklace with brighter, jeweltone Epoxy components available in our store.

Supply List -
5 Epoxy Coated Oval Ring, 18mm, assorted pastel colors
5 Epoxy Coated Teardrops, 15mm, matching above colors
18" Rollo Chain, Silver Plate, 4.5mm (03-51-RT9073)
1 Silver Plate Lobster Claw Clasp, 18mm (03-51-FM2103)
12 Oval Jumprings, 6.5mm, Silver Plate (03-51-FM3606)

Tools: flat nose pliers; Jump Ring Tool (03-51-FM1513) or second pliers

Arrange your "eggs" and drops as desired. Once you're ready to start, fold your piece of chain in half to find the middle and attach your first Oval "Egg" Ring here. Please note that the Oval Rings have a hole on one end only, which will be used when attaching to chain. To attach the Oval Ring,, use your flat nose pliers and Jump Ring Tool (or other pliers), to gently twist open an Oval jump ring, then link through the hole of the middle Oval Ring and the selected link of the chain, then twist jump ring closed.

Continue by adding two Oval Rings to the left and two to the right in this manner to every 7th link of the chain. Because this style of chain has distinctively horizontal and vertical links, by adding to the odd number link (Ex.3, 5 or 7.), the jumprings will all hang from the chain evenly. Once you have attached all five Oval Rings to your chain, you may begin linking the Teardrops to hang from the Oval Rings. Attach jumprings through the holes of the teardrops, linking them to hang loosly from the Oval Rings (see photo). Finish with attaching clasp by gently twisting open an oval jumpring and linking it to an end link of the chain, then twist close. To finish the opposite end, twist open the last remaining oval jumpring and attach to rollo chain.

You can create matching earrings using two additional Oval "Egg" Rings, two additional Drops, and two additional oval Jumprings plus a pair of earwires (such as 03-51-FM1415). Link components together as directed above, attaching earwire to hole of Oval Ring.
