Project Idea -- Angel Earrings

A fun and easy gift to make for the "angels" in your life.

 

 

Supply List -

2 Glass Pearl Teardrop Bead, 04-51-FM7864 or color choice
2 Fire Polished 6mm beads, 03-51-FM2325 or choice of color
2 Pewter Angel Wing beads, 06-CBA775AP or choice
2 Rondelle or Spacer 8mm , 06-51-CBS383, 06-DA1983-59 or choice
2 Head Pin, 03-51-RT097N or choice
2 Earwire, 03-51-FM1415 or choice

Tools: Round Nose Pliers, Wire Cutters if needed

To begin, place the following onto your head pin: teardrop bead (with wider portion at base of the head pin), wing bead, 6mm Czech fire polish bead, then the rondelle/spacer on top. To create top loop on head pin, use your round nose pliers to grasp the wire just above the bead, and use fingers or other pliers to bend sharply away from you (see illustration at right). Continuing to grip the wire with your round nose pliers, bend the wire smoothly around the pliers down close to the beads. Trim any extra wire of headpin (be generous with cutting, you can always trim more off if needed), then use your pliers to tuck the loop within the angel's "halo" to complete the loop. To attach earwire, twist open the bottom ring of an earwire, attach it to the loop of your angel, then twist close. Repeat all of the above steps for second earring.

Alternative project: Dragonfly Earrings

Follow the same instructions above using a Dragonfly Wing bead (06-SW9978-S) for the wings and 4mm Czech fire polish beads (04-51-FM6223) for the body.
